500 gms string beans(I had frozen)
2 onions sliced thick
1 cup yoghurt
1 tbsp ginger, garlic, chilli paste
1 tbsp oil
3 tbsp besan (chickpea flour)
2 tbsp desiccated coconut
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
Pinch of hing
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds
Salt to taste.
METHOD
- Heat oil, add hing and mustard, cumin and fenugreek seeds. Sauté.
- Add ginger garlic chilli paste.
- Add onions and sauté.
- Add the beans and sauté with salt and haldi.
- Cover and cook for few mins.
- Add besan, coconut and all spices.
- Mix well and add yoghurt.
- Add water to mix together and cook.
- Adjust water as per your liking. It should be thick.
- Serve hot with hot rotis.
